Why Every Body Contouring Specialist Needs to Know the Cisterna Chyli

In my trainings, I talk a lot about the exit doors of the body. If the lymphatic system is the plumbing, the Cisterna Chyli is the main reservoir.
Located roughly at the base of the ribcage (around T12-L2 vertebrae), this dilated sac is the gathering point for all the lymph drainage from the lower body and the gastrointestinal tract. It is the "gateway" to the Thoracic Duct.
Think of it as a funnel. If the funnel is clogged or sluggish, no matter how much "fat melting" you do, the body cannot efficiently transport those lipids and waste out of the system.

To get that "snatched" waistline your clients are paying for, you have to do more than just move a handpiece. You have to understand internal drainage.
